Artsnet, in partnership with its host agency, Community
Arts North West, programmes a range of informal, free
training events called Toolkit Training aimed at helping
you build the skills you need to develop your work. Subjects covered
to date have included arts
funding, health and safety in the arts, artists and child protection
issues, information on how to write a business plan and marketing
your work.
Toolkit Training is for any artist,
arts organisation or community group interested in the arts, who live
or work in the city. Also included on this site are links to other
training providers and resources which could help you.
Artsnet organises accessible evening and daytime training sessions
aimed at artists and small arts organisations.

Artsnet. The sessions are free and subjects include first aid, health
and safety, self employment and finance for freelance artists, mental health
awareness and monitoring and evaluation. Sessions are well received always
informative.

Industries Development Service
The Creative Industries Development Service
(CIDS) works to help new and established creative businesses
in Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Tameside. We offer a
free Informative Service for people running a creative business
to help you find out what support is available, and this can
be accessed either by phone, email and meeting with one of
our Information Team or through our website.
The site allows you to find out about useful
organisations, networks and trade opportunities. You can also
promote your own business for free in our Creative Directory
and add in your own news and events.

Digital Development Agency (MDDA)
Manchester Digital Development Agency works across a wide range of
projects with a large number of different partners from the government,
business, education and community sectors. Delivering our services at
a local and regional level, MDDA supports a range of initiatives

Women's
Electronic Village Hall
The WEVH is unique because we specialise in how Information
and Communications Technology relates particularly to women.
Whether you are employed are not, are looking to learn new skills,
or want to get established in business, we have services to
help you develop.
All courses are designed to meet the needs of women. Flexible
training programmes are organised around school hours and holidays
with support for childcare. Distance learning courses are also
being researched for the future. As part of their training all
trainees are offered personal development, counseling and career
guidance.
